You know deep down that you are out of balance and alignment with who you really are, you have lost that connection with your true essence and looking for a more holistic way to get yourself healthier and happier.
You know there is so much more to who you are, but conditioning over time has taken you off track, losing your identity as you navigate your way through this life.
As we are all given this experience of life within this body, I believe it’s important to allow time to nurture and heal ourselves. Respecting our body by maintaining and strengthening the physical structure along with the energetic body which holds us present in this time. Living a life of purpose and happiness with a calm mind, steady body, and a heart that is open.
The choices we make in life are impacted by our 5 senses and can lead us to unhealthy habits on a daily basis. Our past experiences our jobs and social activities all make a deeper impression and further impact how we live our lives in this physical body.
You would never build your dream house on poor foundations, so why build your dream life on an unstable body and mind? Instead of being a human doing all the time, it’s time to be a human being… being more aware and connected with yourself to make wiser choices in moving through your life!
I offer both in-person and virtual classes, to people of all ages and abilities.
I will help you on this physical and mental pathway to well-being helping you find the root cause of your discomfort teaching you the language of the body and quieting the mind, so you can live more authentically as you!
So join me on a pathway to health and wellness in a culture of holistic wellbeing.
Ex-dancer, fitness coach, studio owner, corporate manager and presenter - I’m now a Health Coach who specialises in Iyengar Yoga with twenty-five years of experience in helping many people to transform their mindset, body, and their whole life.
My Iyengar journey began following a car crash which left me with lower back, pelvic and neck issues, and this made it hard for me to continue teaching the high impact classes I was used to.
After a long stretch of physiotherapy sessions which didn’t improve my health or mobility, I was told I would have to live in pain and receive pain management, but with an understanding on how the body moved, along with my knowledge in anatomy and bio mechanics, I turned to self care.
After trying many different yoga styles I fell in love with the Iyengar method and began my yoga journey. This passion grew as I felt first hand, the physical benefits and improvements in my mental health, too.
I could resonate with the principles of Iyengar Yoga as the focus is on alignment and precision of the body. It gave me the confidence I needed to build up my strength and stamina, and to be able to move freely again.
That’s when I realised I wanted to help others with this method of yoga too. I intensified my practise and following 5 years of rigorous studies with senior teachers, qualified in 2009 at Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga Institute, the home of Iyengar Yoga, becoming a registered IYENGAR® yoga teacher.
I continuously develop myself through study for higher levels of teaching with my senior teachers and movement coaches. This includes regular attendance of workshops and the annual Iyengar conventions which is expected as part of holiday the watermark of Iyengar, as well as continuing with my meditation and mindfulness practices.
